"The relaxed gastropub atmosphere is a welcome respite from the chaotic energy of nearby UT. And its French-bistro inspired menu and fabulous beer and wine list is a far cry from the fast food and bro bars that litter the Drag. With moules frites and a superlative salade niçoise, consider this the grad school version of campus dining."
"There’s something undeniably appealing about Hopfields, with an exceptional selection of craft beers available on draft, in cans, and in bottles paired with a menu that includes items such as seared lamb tenderloin, steak and frites, and mussels"
Thanks for the great review www.austinot.com!
We're thrilled to be mentioned amongst such great local spots.
This “gastropub” in West Campus strikes a “balance” between a “beer bar and a French farmhouse bistro” thanks to its impressive selection of “craft beers” and menu items from charcuterie and house pickles to “great” burgers and salade niçoise; the “cozy” setup includes a main front room with a bar, a “quieter” area in the back and a patio.
An oldie but goodie, Matt Odam (Austin American Statesman) gives us a review in our beginning months with some good, honest feedback and an appreciation for quality and effort. We love the attention to detail in his reviews and his particular love for our Pascal Burger in many of his "Austin's best" lists. Keep up the good work Mr. Odam, we're always happy to have you.
